Fort Collins - Join Betsy and the Markey for Congress Campaign as we team up for this year’s Tour de Fat by New Belgium Brewery. Participants dress up in costumes and ride bikes around
We will be meeting at New Belgium (look for the Betsy Markey banner) at 9:15 a.m. The parade begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. so don’t be late!
You are encouraged to dress creatively and wear any Betsy Markey gear you have. We will have plenty of bumper stickers at the event that you can wear if you don't have anything. If you don’t want to don a costume, just wear jeans and a white shirt (we can sticker you up when you get to the brewery). And don't forget a BIKE, which you can also decorate before hand!
The bike parade lasts about an hour and events continue throughout the day if you want to hang around.
Enjoy a hard-earned New Belgium beer after the parade and meet fellow Betsy Markey supporters!

Betsy Visits South East Colorado
On Friday, August 1st, Betsy Markey traveled to Lamar, Colorado. She spent the afternoon meeting with local newspapers and small business owners. Betsy also spoke with community groups at the home of a local business leader.
On Saturday, Betsy was in Springfield, Colorado for the annual Baca County Fair and Parade. Joined by her three sisters and niece, Betsy walked in the parade and then enjoyed a barbecue with local residents.
That evening Betsy traveled to Las Animas, Colorado for the Bent County Fair and Rodeo.
“People in this part of the state are hurting from the high cost of gas and diesel,” said Markey. “I spoke with many folks who feel that their voices are not being heard in Washington, and that has got to change.”

You can help the campaign out if you can spare office furniture and other supplies that can be donated or lent to the campaign through November 4. Needs include:
a. Tables (most sizes/shapes will work. A long conference-type table would be great!)
b. Desks and chairs (especially folding chairs and desk chairs)
c. White board and dry erase markers
d. Office supplies, including clipboards, staplers, tape dispensers, pens, pencils, etc.
